ANZAC MEMOIR
As we walk down the corridor of the hall following Mrs Booth and the bagpipe man, I heard absolute silence.
We line up in our classrooms and lay the wreaths by the flagpole. We have a one minute moment of silence to remember the soldiers who fought in the war to make New Zealand free.
“They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.”
